Steel Authority of India, Bhilai plant sets another benchmark by producing 18,540 Tonne hot metal for the fourth time in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year.
SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Blast Furnaces have yet again set a new benchmark for daily hot metal production in SAIL by producing 18,540 T Hot Metal on 2nd March 2021, surpassing the previous best of 18,320 T produced on 28th Feb 2021. Earlier on 17th Feb 21, the Plant had recorded the highest daily hot metal production by any steel plant in SAIL by producing 18,287 T hot metal.
The graph of the performance of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant has been steadily rising in the last quarter of the current fiscal year. On 14th Jan 2021, when the Plant produced 18,208 T hot metal, a ten-year-old record of 18,182 T made on 14th August 2010 was smashed, and a new record of daily production by any steel plant in SAIL had been set. Now, the bar of performance has been raised higher with the Plant’s Blast Furnaces recording a new high of 18,540 T on 2nd March 2021.
Director I/c SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant, Shri Anirban Dasgupta has congratulated the Blast Furnaces team along with members of all associated departments for the record-making spree in the last quarter of the current fiscal year and urged them to keep up the tempo of production in the remaining period of the current fiscal year.
Congratulatory messages have poured in from all shops and departments for the superlative performance. Conveying his congratulations to the entire team of Blast Furnaces and those from associated shops and departments, Shri Rajiv Sehgal, ED (Works) expressed confidence that many more milestones would be crossed in the days to come and Team Bhilai would be able to meet SAIL’s expectations from the Plant.
