Dimensionally stable aluminium casting components
High operating temperature cause aluminium pressure die casting components to expand dimensionally. The higher the operating temperature, the more damaginf this aluminium "growth" can be. In particular, interference fits can be affected. ZF Friedrichshafen AG has developed a process that eliminates this problem.

Ennore Foundry Ltd (EFL) is the largest automobile-jobbing foundry in India. The intricate castings manufactured at its high capacity plant have been catering to the major automobile industries across India. One vehicle out of three in India is fitted with EFL made Cylinder Block Casting. Ennore Foundries has lined up Rs350 crore of capital expenditure in the next three years at its unit in Ennore and Sriperumbudur, near Chennai and in Hyderabad. Registering a 19% rise in the H1 in September 2007, EFL continues to give thrust ion production of high-end products in the value chain, namely blocks and heads, yielded enhanced market access and better results.
